[KHTS] – Frank Ferry, former Santa Clarita mayor and high school principal, married his longtime sweetheart Mori Rouhani on Saturday.
The backyard ceremony was held at Rouhani’s home in West Hills. About 40 relatives attended the event.
Sons of Ferry and Rouhani, Nick Ferry, Jake Ferry, Keon Parsa and Kayvon Parsa were the groomsmen, while Liliana Khabbaz was the maid of honor.
Former Santa Clarita City Manager Ken Pulskamp officiated the ceremony.
The couple had a violinist, pianist, belly dancers and Jake Ferry DJing at the reception. The wedding reception was combined with a graduation party for Keon and Nick who both graduated from college.
“I’m so ecstatic. I keep looking at the ring on my finger,” Ferry said. “I haven’t had one on my finger in 10 years. I’m just one of those guys who likes being a husband. I’m not a bachelor, single kind of guy.”
While Ferry is happy with how things turned out, the meeting was not exactly the stuff of fairy tales, he joked.
“My son Jake called me about three years ago and said, ‘Dad, we have a new dentist and she wouldn’t let me in because she needs a parent signature,'” Ferry said. “It was the first day of spring break, and I didn’t get to sleep in.”
Ferry went to the office for a teeth cleaning and to sign the paper for his son. The receptionist told Ferry that there was a new doctor, and he argued with her saying he wanted his old doctor.
“I was a total jerk, I asked her how long she had been a dentist, where she went to school, what she ranked in her class,” Ferry said. “She ended up leaving and not examining my teeth.”
Ferry returned the following day and the couple hit it off, he said. He eventually found out she went to USC, finished first in her class and was the West Coast Dental Director for Smile Care, he said. She currently has her own practice Rouhani & Khabbatz Dental Corp.
Rouhani was born in Tehran, Iran, and moved during the revolution in the 1970s to Japan and then came to the United States, Ferry said.
Ferry asked Rouhani to lunch and later told Pulskamp, “This person is the one I’m going to marry.”
Ferry proposed a year later during a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day.
“It was just one of those get-down-on-a-knee proposals,” Ferry said. “I asked her dad for permission first – I’m a little old fashioned.”
Since he’s no longer city councilman or a principal, Ferry started a company Creating Stronger Communities, which lobbies for companies in need a representative within a city or county government. He also helps his new wife at her dental office.
“She’s the most passionate, interesting, hard-working, kind and just a beautiful person inside and out,” Ferry said.
The couple plans to go to South Korea in October and just came back from Naples, Fla., where they vacationed for a week.
“Once you divorce, you just never think you’re gonna get married, and when you meet someone who just hits you over the head with a hammer,” Ferry joked, “it’s just awesome.”

I’ll never forget when this pitiful pile harassed me by leaving multiple screaming voicemails on my phone accusing me of something I did not do. When his demands and assumptions weren’t met he simply used his power to not only harass me in person and the presence of an officer, but to expel me as a student. His last words as an assistant principle was that he simply “lived for days like this” It’s a wonder how characters such as ferry land administrative positions in education let alone city counsel. Downright lying cheating politician, and a disgrace to the human race. Hopefully his misconceptions of midal eastern women bites him in his fat ass because he’s looking in the wrong place for a submissive wife.
