Two suspects are in custody from an incident that started in Canyon Country and ended at the gate on Placerita Canyon Road near Sierra Highway, where the alleged bad guys were taken from their cars at gunpoint.
A call came in to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station at 11:55 a.m. reporting a fight at Whites Canyon and Soledad Canyon roads.
Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said Kyle Hutchins, 20, of Newhall, got into a dispute with his girlfriend, who allegedly hit him, causing him to respond by putting her in a headlock. A Good Samaritan stepped in to defend the girlfriend, but Hutchins rebuked him and another suspect, Kyle Resinger, 19, of Saugus, stepped in to help Hutchins.
Both men participated in beating up the Good Samaritan before fleeing in a vehicle, heading southbound on Via Princessa to Sierra Highway.
Deputies responded to the scene and quickly went in pursuit of the suspects, who were apprehended at the Placerita Canyon gate. The victim and a witness were taken to that location, where they identified the suspects and both Hutchins and Resinger were taken to jail. They were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Bryski said that the girlfriend was not injured and the Good Samaritan received some bumps and bruises, but was not transported to the hospital.

and so the girl who hit him did not go to jail? Men are the victims of so many domestic disputes it’s ridiculous. Many women complain and have fought for equal rights and when it comes down to it they can hit you its fine; a man hits them back automatically they are a woman beater. Simple rule…’alledgedly’ or not keep your hands to yourselves. If men can hit harder don’t hit them and nobody goes to jail. Hutchins’ life may be ruined now because of a record stemmed by the act of his girlfriend hitting him. I’m all for equal rights, but seeing stuff like this really angers me.
