I would like to apply. My back yard was one big hole. I did the best I could. Its uneven, it floods into a muddy mess, and the fence is leaning backwards. I am off on medical leave as of May 9, 2019 due to diabetes and hypertension . I can not afford to fix up my back yard. My screen door is falling off the hinges. I put it up but think I did it wrong. I am the only one in my home. I was features in the signal on May 3,2019 as Veteran of the week. Please help!
I would like to nominate my good friend Jennie Boyce in Canyon Country, Ca. She has 3 teenage boys, and a husband that works for the water district and makes just enough to support them.
Jennie has Lupus and is in poor health, but she’s a wonderful mom. She runs her sons all over the place for baseball. They play extracaricular baseball for thier schools. She’s also always there for friends.
There house needs work!! It’s run down, and they don’t have the money to fix it up.
That doesn’t stop them from opening it up. Once a year they have a huge Superbowl party and invite anyone who wants to come. Every weekend they barbque for teenagers that need a safe, drug free environment, to hang out.
Trust me this is the ideal family for the extreme makeover and noone is more deserving.
You should do one in Paradise, California to help a fire victim in NorCal or in Redding where the Carr fire was.
