Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo will host the Third Annual MLK Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 19. The event will be held 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Vallet Boys and Girls Club Thomas E. Dierckman Clubhouse, 19420 Stillmore St., Canyon Country, CA 91351.

In partnership with the NAACP of Santa Clarita, the Santa Clarita Food Pantry and the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, this event seeks to bring the community together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through hands-on service and collective action.

The event will feature donation drives and service activities supporting local families, youth and neighbors in need, along with brief remarks from local leaders.

Donation collection and sorting, sandwich making and card marking activities will be held.

Community members and volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate in this day of service.

“This MLK Day, we’re coming together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through service,” said Schiavo. “Join us for our third annual MLK Day of Service in Santa Clarita as we give back to our community, supporting local families, youth and neighbors in need.”
