Western singer/songwriter Juni Fisher, nominated for four 2014 Western Music Association Awards of Excellence, will be performing in Newhall on Oct. 16.
Recognized by the Western Music Association with awards for Female Performer of The Year, Entertainer of The Year, Songwriter of The Year, Song of the Year, and Western Album of The Year – multiple times – Fisher will entertain a crowd at the Repertory East Playhouse as part of the OutWest Concert Series, presented by SCVTV. This is Fisher’s third time performing on the OutWest stage. Her engaging original songs are dedicated to the stories of the West, the magic of the horse and the special relationship between horse and rider.
Born in the San Joaquin Valley of California, Fisher spent her early years training horses as well as working on cow-calf operations. Touring the country full time, she delights audiences with her original songs, storytelling and guitar playing. Her album, “Listen…to The Horse” is nominated by the WMA for 2014 Western Album of The Year and the track “Still There,” co-written with Waddie Mitchell, for 2014 Song of The Year. She’s also been nominated for Female Performer of The Year, and Entertainer of The Year by the Western Music Association in 2014.
The OutWest Concert Series is taped and televised on SCVTV. Watch past concerts online at outwest.scvtv.com
