In an effort to help Los Angeles County pet owners during these difficult economic times, the L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control is initiating an animal licensing amnesty period.
Many pet owners may have put off paying for their required annual pet licenses and incurred late fees. Beginning Aug. 1, 2022, the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control and 18 partner cities, including Santa Clarita, are waiving late fees for residents renewing or buying a new license for their dog or cat through Oct. 31, 2022.
If you are not certain if your pet’s license is current or not, you may access your pet’s record on the website at L.A. Animal Care and Control or call the departments licensing division at (562) 345-0400 to inquire. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
L.A. Animal Care and Control cares about you and your pet’s wellbeing and thanks you for keeping your pet’s license and rabies vaccination current.
All unincorporated Los Angeles county areas and the city of Santa Clarita are participating.
