The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity and the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment are reopening their $100,000 Economic Opportunity Grant Program.
The grant was created for Chambers of Commerce to provide capacity for small, hyperlocal chambers to keep their doors open and provide technical assistance to the small business community facing continued economic disruptions, including the pandemic, fire recovery, and immigration enforcement actions. Eligible Chambers of Commerce can now apply for grants of up to $7,000, with applications accepted through Oct. 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Originally launched in August 2025, the program previously accepted applications providing grants of $3,000 to $5,000 to Chambers of Commerce that were economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The larger grant amount reflects the County’s commitment to maximizing its support to local organizations that assist LA County’s businesses. Chambers that previously applied will automatically be reconsidered for the increased funding and do not need to resubmit an application. New applicants can apply online at: bit.ly/EOGforChambers2025
“Our Chambers of Commerce have worked tirelessly to support small businesses through crisis after crisis,” said Kelly LoBianco, Director of the Department of Economic Opportunity. “This grant program is a way for the County to directly invest in those organizations that have been the frontline champions of recovery and resilience in every corner of our region.”
Grants are available to nonprofit Chambers of Commerce with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(6), or 501(c)(19) status that serve small businesses in Los Angeles County. Chambers with operating budgets under $1 million may receive up to $5,000, while those with budgets between $1 million and $5 million may receive up to $7,000.
Funds can be used for a range of recovery needs, including operating expenses, payroll, technology upgrades, and other COVID-19-related costs. Chambers must have been in operation prior to December 30, 2021, operate from a commercial space, and demonstrate continued service to small business communities affected by the pandemic.
Applications must be completed in full with all required documentation uploaded to be considered. Grant recipients are expected to be notified and awarded by the end of November 2025. For full eligibility guidelines, application instructions, and FAQs, please visit bit.ly/EOGforChambers2025.
