investigating-the-carHomicide detectives have released the name of a man found Sunday dead in the trunk of a car.

The victim, previously identified as a 28-year-old Hispanic man, was Henry David Flores of Leggett, a town in Mendocino County, officials said.

Flores was found in the trunk of his own car, a blue Honda Accord, on Sunday morning.

Officials with the Coroner’s Office would not release any additional details pending a medical examination.

No arrests have been made, and detectives have not released any information about any possible suspects.

The suspected murder is part of the seventh suspicious death investigation in the Santa Clarita Valley area since January.

The body was found by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies after a deputy conducting a routine patrol check noticed a blue Honda Accord parked illegally on Golden Valley Road near Golden Valley High School.
