The Honorable Jaroslaw Lasinski recognized for his appointment as the new Consul General of Poland in Los Angeles.
Dignitaries in the Armenian community honored in recognition of “Armenian History Month.”
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Detective Tania Owen commended in recognition of her retirement and over 30 years of dedicated service to the County of Los Angeles and to her service dog Tank, who has served for over one year.
Father Greg Boyle commemorated in recognition of his service to the community.
Barbara Carrasco and Irv Hershenbaum recognized in honor of their work embodying the legacy of Cesar Chavez.
Dr. Robin Kay celebrated on the occasion of her retirement from the Department of Mental Health.
Approval sought for the agency plan, which consists of an Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 and a Five-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2018- 2022, for the Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles. (Item 1-H)
Approval sought to amend County Code, Title 8 – Consumer Protection, Business and Wage Regulations, to add licensed health care facilities as a food facility that requires a public health license and adds specific plan-check and licensing fees for the various types of kitchens within licensed health care facilities. (Item 2, Ordinance)
Approval sought on the proposed Power Purchase Agreements for installation, operation and maintenance of solar panels for four County facilities. (Item 3)
Supervisors Barger and Ridley-Thomas declare a shelter crisis in the Antelope Valley and request temporary emergency shelter facilities for the area. (Item 5)
Supervisors Barger and Hahn proclaim the month of April as “Armenian History Month” throughout Los Angeles County to recognize Armenian culture, contributions and accomplishments. (Item 6)
Supervisor Solis recommends adopting a resolution approving the application to the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District for First District Excess Funds for the conservation services for Hugo Ballin Medical Sciences Fresco Project by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. (Item 9)
Supervisor Kuehl proclaims the month of March 2018 as “National Social Work Month” throughout the County; and recognizes Social Workers and their Departments throughout the County for helping to create a support system for our children, adults and families. (Item 10)
Report by the Interim Director of the Health Agency on the Agency’s progress serving as the Capital Improvements Intermediary. (Item 12)
