The 9th Annual Canyon Country Optimist Club’s Charity Quarter Auction sponsored by the Santa Clarita Optimist Foundation will be held on Saturday, March 9, at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. All proceeds from this auction will be used to benefit youth and in-need families. The price of admission ($45) includes dinner, coffee and soft drinks, a numbered paddle and ball, AND loads of fun for all! The Quarter (25¢) Basket Auctions gives guests a chance to win one of at least 50 baskets donated by local businesses. In addition, the exciting silent and live auctions give opportunities for guests to bid on sports memorabilia, trips to Maui, tickets to a Dodger game, a day at the spa, golf packages, and much more.
Last year, this auction raised over $39,000, making it possible for us to continue to sponsor or support local youth activities, including — “Safety Town – Santa Clarita” camp –– a 5-day safety education program for young children; scholarships to local graduating seniors from local high schools who provide exceptional service to their community and school; Kare Kits for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer to give to newly diagnosed child cancer patients and their families in local hospitals; financial assistance for in-need youth to participate in Santa Clarita Parks and Recreation’s S.C.O.R.E. recreational events and programs; financial aid to local families in need, and other youth-serving activities and programs in the community.
Join us for an evening of fun and help the Foundation to bring out the best in Santa Clarita’s kids, today and tomorrow, by providing support for youth in need.
