Los Angeles County Mayor and Metrolink Director Michael D. Antonovich announced that Metrolink is offering a special $10 Weekend Pass that provides families across the region with unlimited trips over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The $10 Weekend Pass is available through Thanksgiving Day and will be valid for travel on Thanksgiving Day through Sunday, Nov. 27 until 11:59 p.m.
To purchase the Weekend Pass, visit any Metrolink ticket vending machine at any Metrolink station and Union Station, select “Special Ticket Options” and then “$10 Weekend Pass.” Metrolink is offering the following service options over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Trains will operate on a modified schedule on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, on the San Bernardino and Antelope Valley lines.
* Antelope Valley Line – regular Sunday schedule. Three round-trips offered.
* San Bernardino Line – regular Sunday schedule. Seven round-trips offered.
Trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Friday through Sunday after Thanksgiving. Visit http://www.metrolinktrains.com/schedules to check the regular schedule.
The “Rail 2 Rail” partnership with Amtrak is not valid Wednesday, Nov. 23, Thursday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 27. No Metrolink Monthly Passes will be accepted on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains on these blackout dates.
