America’s Job Center of California is offering a variety of workshops and employment events this month. In addition to its monthly hiring fest, the Center offers various training opportunities and workshops to help those looking to reenter the workforce.

America’s Job Center of California is located at the College of the Canyons University Center, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.

In addition to other opportunities, interested job seekers can explore the following workshops:

* How to Prepare for an Interview – Monday, July 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

* Discover Your Career Pathway – Tuesday, July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

* Accomplishments: Your Link to Opportunity – Wednesday, July 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

* Apex Innovations Notary Public Course – Friday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

* Mature Job Seeker Workshop – Thursday, July 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

First time visitors to America’s Job Center of California are encouraged to attend an orientation workshop for the Center. Orientations will provide an overview of all of the resources available to job seekers. Orientations are held on Mondays and exact times can be found by visiting WorkSantaClarita.com.

America’s Job Center of California will also hold its monthly hiring fest from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29. This month’s event will feature over 15 employers from various fields and will be held at College of the Canyons in the University Center’s 1st floor lobby. All events are free and open to all community members, students and veterans. There will also be free parking in Lot 14 during the time of the event in any of the “unmarked” parking spots.
