Our Community Salutes North Los Angeles will host an Enlistee Recognition Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Sand Canyon Country Club, celebrating local young men and women who have enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States, but have yet to ship off to basic training.
This ceremony allows the community to be the first to say “Thank You” for making the commitment to protect and serve the nation.
“It is our mission that every young person who steps forward to serve their country deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported,” said Dr. Kenneth Hartman, OCS Founder and President.
In the Spring of 2025, Our Community Salutes, USA, was proud to host 4,300 young men and women across the country. Over 14,000 supporters joined us in being “the first to say Thank You” to these newest members of the military services.
The Friday, Nov. 7 event will be held at noon, Sand Canyon Country Club, 27734 Sand Canyon Road, Canyon Country, CA 91387. Doors open at 11 a.m.
Speakers include:
James Zenner, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Master of Ceremonies: John Robert “Bob” McQuaid Jr., PhD, Associate Professor of Decision Sciences, Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School.
