Obviously didn’t have in a seat belt and why off-roading in a Lexus? Sorry for his family’s loss but this was not on “off-roader”

Then the tow truck couldn’t get it Saturday cuz of the terrain was to bad. Come on!!! A Lexus made it up there!!! Was it Wolf Towing???
Guess we should ban the Lexus.
All models, all colors.
Sad, but off-road in a Lexus without a seatbelt? I feel bad for the family he left behind.
Is the vehicle still out there? We can get it out with our 4x4s we just did a rollover recovery up there a few weekends ago
Terry Hollinger you see this?

Isn’t a Lexus 450 a blinged up land cruiser?
Actually, the ’97 was good off-road. Solid axles and decent power.
To all the idiots who forget his family may read this have some respect.and to the ignorant people jealous that he was in a lexus.do your research the lexus is an upgraded toyota land cruiser. Toyota labs cruisers are known for off roading. Have respect for the deceased, this isn’t a passing match for P. Envying boys. I’ve seen Land Rovers and Land cruisers off road and doing a better job than jeeps, fords, chevys, and dodge.
Yep. It’s a luxurious land cruiser. They have some built up ones. The name Lexus and offroad don’t mix so everyone assumes it’s one of those new crossover hybrid looking things but that type of Lexus this guy was driving was surely capable of going rowher flats. It sounds like driver error unfortunately :(
Natural selection. Off Roading in a Lexus AND no seat belt.
Any other info on the accident? Sad news!
I’m familiar with the trail he was on, and I’m familiar with the vehicle he’s driving, as I personally own a 1997 Lexus LX450. As another poster mentioned, an LX450 is for all intents and purposes, an 80 series Land Cruiser, arguably the most capable out of the box 4×4 SUV that Toyota has ever manufactured.
We don’t know all of the details surrounding the crash, but I can personally attest to the difficulty and danger around some of the hills on the Lookout Trail, as I have climbed them myself in my own LX450. He may have had a mechanical failure, or perhaps forgot to air down his tires to the proper air pressure. We may never know.
At the end of the day, it was a tragic accident, and unfortunately it will not likely be the last that we hear about from Rowher Flats.
please have some decency and respect for the lost life and his family. it doesn’t matter what kind of car it was, what he was doing.
at the end of the day, he won’t be returning to his family. that’s what the new is about, not that he is a newb off rider.
be careful with what you say/ write. what goes around comes around.
He was a very nice guy. And ran a world class repair facility.
