[KHTS] – The Hart boys basketball team capped an undefeated Foothill League season with a 53-52 win over Canyon.

Hart won the Foothill League championship outright with a perfect 10-0 record.

The West Ranch boys downed Valencia, 64-59, to finish in second place in the Foothill league.

West Ranch posted a 8-2 record in league. Valencia dropped to 6-4.

The Golden Valley boys beat Saugus, 45-41. Golden Valley won its second Foothill League game of the season. Saugus went 0-10.

The Canyon girls knocked off Hart, 43-30, and won their fifth straight Foothill League championship.

The Canyon girls and the Valencia girls share the Foothill League title for the second year in a row.

In high school soccer, the Hart girls beat Canyon, 2-1, and clinched the Foothill League championship. Sarah Lindborg scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation.

In the Winter Olympics, the United States swept the men’s slopestyle freestyle skiing podium. Joss Christensen won the gold medal. Gus Kenworthy won the silver and Nick Goepper won the bronze.

The United States has 12 medals after Day 6 at Sochi. USA is tied with the Netherlands for second place in the medal count. Norway leads all countries with 13 medals, four golds.

Germany has 10 medals, seven of them gold.

The women's cross country team finished ahead of Taylor University by one point to win the NAIA women's cross country national championship Friday, Nov. 22, at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
