In college softball, the College of the Canyons swept a doubleheader against L.A. Valley College and won the Western State Conference Blue Division. COC won the first game, 7-1, and shut out Valley, 10-0, in the nightcap.

In high school golf, West Ranch won the Foothill League match at Valencia Country Club by five strokes over Valencia, 399-404.

Valencia’s Jonathan Chang shot the low round of the day, even-par 72. Two Wildcats were 2-over. Brandon Dooley and Joey Downey each shot 74s.

In hockey, the Kings can complete the sweep of the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the NHL Western Conference playoffs at Staples Center tonight.

The Kings are up 3-0 and Dustin Brown has scored four goals in the three playoff games.
