Santa Clarita Sports Report: June 12, 2015 – Gabby Chaves, driving for Bryan Herta Autosports in the Verizon IndyCar Series, is headed to Canada for this weekend Honda Indy Grand Prix of Toronto.
Chaves has posted two top 10 finishes in a row. He is coming off a 10th place finish in the race at Texas Motor Speedway. He was ninth in the second race in the Dual in Detroit.
Chaves has had success in Toronto. He was the runner up twice in Indy Lights races in Toronto.
Chaves is the rookie driver for the team owned by Valencia’s Bryan Herta.
The race is Sunday. The green flag drops at noon.
In the NBA, the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 103-82, in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
The series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is in Oakland on Sunday.
In the major leagues, the Dodgers are in San Diego to start a weekend series against the Padres.
The Dodgers have won three games in a row, all against the Rockies.
Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers against Odrisamer Despaigne for the Padres.
First pitch is at 7:10.
