Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
A residential burglary was reported from the 22400 block of Barbacoa Drive. An unknown suspect kicked in the victim’s side garage door in. The items that were stolen belonged to the victim’s prior tenant.
There was a residential burglary reported from the 29600 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. In this incident the suspect(s) entered the victim’s home through an unsecured door. The suspect stole a projector and US currency.
A theft from a vehicle occurred near the 29100 block of Harmony Way. In this incident, the suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a cell phone and a vehicle programmer.
A grand theft person /battery occurred in a parking lot near the 26530 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. In this incident, the victim came out to his vehicle and found the suspect in his car going through his belongings. The victim approached the suspect and told her to get out of his car. The suspect became violent and assaulted the victim. The suspect then tried to flee with the victim’s car keys. Deputies later arrested the suspect near the location.
We have seen several theft from vehicles in the last few weeks. Most of these incidents could have been avoided if the victim had locked their car doors and removed valuable items from their vehicles. Please remember to lock your car doors to avoid becoming a victim of a property crime.
