Tickets just went on sale for William S. Hart’s 150th birthday bash at Hart Park in Newhall on Saturday, Dec. 6. Party-goers get to see the Hart Mansion all decked out in holiday decorations, plus a live performance at Hart Hall by world-famous Western swing outfit Cow Bop. The group featuring Bruce Forman and Pinto are favorites at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival most years. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 for a family couple, and that includes membership in the Friends of Hart Park, the nonprofit group hosting the party. On Sunday night, SCVTV “House Blend” alum Kai Clark joins an all-star lineup at the Hotel Café on Cahuenga in Hollywood. They’re celebrating what would have been the 70th birthday of Kai’s famous father, Gene Clark. Gene was a gifted singer and songwriter, a founding member of The Byrds, and a huge inspiration to many other artists. It’s also an album release party – Gene’s long out of print 1977 classic “Two Sides to Every Story” has just been reissued by High Moon Records. Joining Kai Clark are Gene’s former duet partner Carla Olson, plus The Jangle Brothers, the Psychedelic Cowboys and half a dozen more.
