[KHTS] – The Hart boys and girls soccer teams won the Hart Tournaments.
The Hart boys beat Valencia, 3-1.
The Valencia girls needed penalty kicks against Quartz Hill. They won 5-4 on PKs after playing to a 1-1 draw in regulation.
In the boys game, Hart scored three goals in the first half to take the lead.
Mike Valencia scored two goals on free kicks.
Robert Alfonso scored the third goal for Hart.
Gerardo Gonzalez scored the only goal for Valencia.
The Hart girls took a 1-0 lead against Quartz Hill on a goal by Sarah Lindborg. Quartz Hill tied the score with a goal in the 72nd minute.
The Hart girls won their own tournament for the third time in the past four years.
The Hart boys also won the Hart Tournament title for the third time in the past four years.
In the NBA, the Clippers beat the visiting Utah Jazz, 101-97. Blake Griffin scored 24 points and DeAndre Jordan had 19 rebounds.
Next up for the Clippers are the New York Knicks on New Year’s Eve.

In the NHL, the Kings lost to the Calgary Flames, 2-1. The Kings have lost two of their past three games.
The Flames scored two goals in the first period. Tyler Toffoli scored for the Kings in the second period.
The Kings continue their Canadian road trip tonight against the Edmonton Oilers.
