[KHTS] – Valencia High graduate Max Homa had the best week of his short PGA career.
Homa finished in a tie for sixth place at the Sony Open in Hawaii. It was the best finish of his PGA career.
He shot a 1-under 69 in the final round by making a birdie on the 18th hole. He was 12-under for the four-round tournament. His best round was on Saturday when he shot 7-under 63.
Jimmy Walker won the Sony Open by nine strokes.
In the NBA, the Clippers beat the Boston Celtics, 102-93, in an afternoon showdown at Staples Center.
Next up for the Clippers are the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
The Lakers lost to the Suns in Phoenix, 115-100. The Lakers are on their way to New Orleans for a game against the Pelicans on Wednesday night.
In the NHL, the Kings lost to the Calgary Flames, 2-1 in overtime. They have lost three games in a row and six of their past seven.
The Kings will try to break their losing streak against the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night.
