Hope Boo Boo doesn’t end up like Yogi did last week!
And the bear was seen eating cat food in a resident’s back yard. Forcryingoutloud, people, anyone who leaves food out at night in an area that abuts open space is inviting critters into their yard. Bring in the cat food. And the cat, unless you want the cat to BE food.
Sunday night September 17, 2017, around 11: 45 PM I was riding my Harley Through Bouquet Canyon North bound, it was very dark with no moon out, and approx 3/4 to 1 Mile before the Big Oaks Lodge, as I came around the tight right hand corner, I noticed some movement on the left side of the road. I quickly slowed to about 5 miles an hour and it crossed the road right into my headlights, appears to be a young Brown Bear. Of course I was amazed, so after about 10 yards I turned around, he was standing by a neighbors pole at there drive way, as I reached for my phone for a picture he took about 4-5 steps about 15feet in front of me, he than took about 3 more faster steps and scaled right up the vertical mountain side. First time I have ever seen a bear in Bouquet Canyon. He looked about 2 to 3 years and appeared to be about 3-4 feet tall when he stretched up the mountain.
