One of the most important ways we serve you is through our online [Resident Service Center]. Would you be surprised to learn that last year, we processed more than 21,000 online requests via the Resident Service Center?

We pride ourselves on responding quickly. In surveys, you, the community, said we met or exceeded your expectations for your requests over 95 percent of the time. Seventy percent of requests to the city are taken care of in under five days, with 44 percent of all requests handled within 24 hours.

The top most-requested issues reported to the Resident Service Center include: trash and used oil disposal, abandoned vehicles, parking violations, reporting graffiti and sprinklers or irrigation issues.

Making sure we are providing excellent customer service is job one at the city of Santa Clarita. It is our goal to assure a high quality of life, and we achieve this by responding quickly and efficiently to the issues most important to our residents.

Keeping Santa Clarita clean and safe is a big part of maintaining a high quality of life. Last year, our street crews filled 826 potholes, completed 652 ramps on sidewalks, and repaired 1,982 displaced sidewalks throughout the city.

Through our community service litter abatement program, we removed more than 106,000 pounds of litter from public rights-of-way.

We also responded to 2,450 tree-related and 1,938 Landscape Maintenance District service requests and pruned more than 38,000 city trees.

Making sure we continue to be transparent, we recently launched an open data portal whereby with just a few clicks, residents can easily access GIS, the Resident Service Center and the city’s financial data.
