Single Mothers Outreach is calling for nominations of women to honor at its 2011 Empowering Hearts gala.
| Tuesday, Aug 9, 2011

Single Mothers Outreach invites you to become a part of this year’s Empowering Hearts Gala and Art Exhibit; Celebrating Women, Art and Community. The theme for the 2011 exhibit is Breaking Barriers and we hope you will join us by nominating a woman whose story personifies this year’s theme.

Your nominee may be a part of your organization, your family or in your network of associates. You may recognize that she has transformed her own life or the lives of others; she may have overcome adversity or broken stereotypes. She may bring a level of excellence in her commitment to her family or her profession.

A local artist will capture the essence of your nominee and her story through photography, sculpture, or in a painting, and the community will celebrate the nominees during an elegant evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres, and music. A grand prize will be awarded for the most compelling story.

Our parents are working hard to become independent in order to someday mirror the strengths of your nominee and your $1000 sponsorship will directly support the programs that are helping to change the lives of single parent families in the Santa Clarita Valley.

— Your partnership will provide your company with meaningful community exposure while providing opportunities of growth to single parent families in the Santa Clarita Valley.

— Your company brand will be highlighted with an art exhibit in the Westfield Town Center Mall, during our Kick-off event (Thursday, September 9, 2011) pairing nominees and artists, and during an elegant Gala event and art exhibit at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center (Saturday, November 19, 2011).

–Your employees will be provided the opportunity to become involved in the community by supporting your nominee and your organization.

–Your organization will be provided significant local visibility through media exposure, prominent signage at the Valencia Town Center Mall exhibit, and gala event, as well as dedicated social media feeds, SMO website, blogs, newsletters, feature stories and press releases.

— You and your honoree will be our honored guests at our annual gala event. At the conclusion of the month-long exhibit, you will be presented with the one-of-a kind fine art piece created to celebrate your honoree.

To participate, visit www.singlemothersoutreach.org or call 661-288-0117.

Single Mothers Outreach is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides support and resources for single mothers struggling through the effects of divorce or the death of a spouse. More than 1,700 families have been served since 1998.
