Stars and Stripes Imagined exhibit at Santa Clarita City HallThe city of Santa Clarita invites residents to celebrate Independence Day 2017 by visiting the “Stars and Stripes Imagined” art exhibit, on display at the First Floor Gallery at City Hall now through July 20.

The exhibit showcases artwork using the symbol of American freedom – the American flag.

City Hall and the gallery are located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Valencia 91355 (please note City Hall will be closed on Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4).

The American flag has inspired many artists throughout the last century – often using its iconic image to form political commentary about the issues facing the nation. Artists have used it to both honor their country and tear it down.

Works in this exhibition honor the symbol, while others reinterpret the symbol, or use the symbol to make a statement.

For more information regarding the art exhibit, visit SantaClaritaArts.com. To learn about other Fourth of July events and activities happening in the City, please visit santa-clarita.com/Events.
