The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department (VCSD) began pursuing the suspect vehicle on southbound State Route 23. VCSD discontinued the pursuit at 11:34 a.m. A few minutes later, Moorpark area CHP officers located the vehicle at the The Oaks shopping center in Thousand Oaks. Three suspects exited the vehicle and fled into Macy’s department store.
The three suspects were able to escape. However, the vehicle was recovered and officials with Moorpark CHP are collecting video evidence from the mall.
