The William S. Hart Union School District, in cooperation with Parent and Student Empowerment, will present “Teen Dating Violence: What YOU Need to Know” on Thursday, May 7, at Arroyo Seco Junior High School. The program begins at 6 p.m.
One in four teens will experience some form of dating violence. This event will keep parents, students and community members informed about different issues our students face on a daily basis. Everyone who attends will benefit from the information.
“The event is designed for Hart District parents or guardians and their students, but anyone in the community may attend,” said Lesley Day, PASE coordinator. “Many of the school sites have also offered these PASE nights as an alternative to Saturday School. We have received positive feedback from those who have attended and we plan to create more Parent and Student Empowerment Nights next year.”
Presentations will be made by the Santa Clarita Domestic Violence Center, CSUN Community Agency Strength United, and Sergeant Brian Hudson with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
If you would like to attend, you are encouraged to go to http://goo.gl/forms/ZXDDOzUigc to register.
Arroyo Seco Junior High School is located at 27171 Vista Delgado Drive in Valencia.
