A fatal traffic collision shut down the eastbound 126 highway Wednesday morning.
The 35-year-old male victim was identified as Christopher Parry, of Lodi. He was traveling eastbound on a 2008 Shanghai Shenke motorcycle on the 126, east of the Ventura County line.
The driver of a 2006 Dodge Stratus was behind the victim and was traveling faster than the victim, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Josh Greengard. The driver of the Stratus did not notice the victim and struck the rear of his motorcycle.
The victim was ejected off of the motorcycle, onto and over the Stratus, Greengard said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred at 5:45 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the 126 highway are closed, with traffic being diverted in the center divider past the scene. CalTrans is on scene and assisting with the closure.
The driver of the Stratus was not injured in the collision.
DUI is not suspected, Greengard said.

The 126 Highway has always been known as blood alley. So sad. No matter how much they do to open it up, the accidents continue to take lives. RIP Christopher Parry?
Ok I have worked a lot of crashes. And I’m sorry. How do you not see a MC in front of you. And how fast do you have to be going to throw the rider over the car. The drive should charger.
