Everyone should have financial security for themselves and their family and when retired have a “Confident Retirement”.  My name is James Duncombe with Ameriprise Financial, the largest financial planning firm in the USA.  My practice has been in Santa Clarita since 2002. I am a Chartered Financial Consultant with an MBA and have additional certifications in College Planning and Long Term Care.  My passion is to help people be financially prepared now and in the future.  Sponsoring the “The Wine Affair” that raises funds to help young women to follow their dreams fits well with this passion.

James can be reached at James.Duncombe@ampf.com or 661-360-3965 / 818-592-3307.  His office is located at 26253 Prima Way, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.

Old Republic
Barrel Sponsor – Old Republic Title Company

Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley thanks John Geraci & Old Republic Title Company for their continued support of women’s causes and sponsorship of our Wine Affair event.

Wine Sponsor – Venteux Vineyards

Venteux symbolizes the passion and fortitude of two families joining together to create one vision of viticultural excellence.

At Venteux Vineyards, the Goldenberg and Stelzle families are dedicated to producing exceptional wines. From soil to bottle, our hands-on approach allows us to uphold the highest level of care in all aspects of the winemaking process. We are continually working to improve and maintain a healthy and beautiful property for our neighbors, our wine-country visitors and ourselves.

We consider ourselves to be purists. We strive to perfect every wine we produce by using only wild native yeasts and filling every bottle with the finest varietals from select vineyards. Our farming and winemaking practices are 100% natural.

Located in Templeton, California near Paso Robles, come taste our hand-crafted wines and experience our friendly family atmosphere and intimate tasting room.  Bring a picnic and enjoy our beautiful property with a glass or bottle of Venteux wine.  We hope to see you soon! For more information, see our website; www.venteuxvineyards.com.

Food Sponsor – Ginger & Fox Bake Shop

Ginger & Fox Bake Shop, founded by Alison Needham, is the first exclusively gluten-free bakery in the Santa Clarita Valley. Alison is a firm believer that those with dietary restrictions should still be able to enjoy all the foods they love, without sacrificing flavor and texture. Since her celiac diagnoses in 2011, she has devoted countless hours to creating gluten-free pies, cakes, doughnuts, cookies, muffins, tarts, breads, scones and more that taste just as good, or even better, than their glutinous counterparts. Fans of her baked goods include even the most avowed eaters of gluten (who really can’t tell the difference).

Lance Allyn

Music Sponsor – Lance Allyn

Lance Allyn is a Los Angeles based guitarist/bassist. An active performer, session musician, and educator in the music industry for over 25 years, Lance loves teaching and inspiring young talent to pursue careers in the field of the musical arts. As an honor’s grad of Musician’s Institute, Lance knows the value of passing on knowledge and, in spite of a busy schedule, works with schools and institutions on an regular basis to promote music in the classrooms. Lance is sponsored by many musical equipment brands such as Boulder Creek Guitars, D’Addario Strings, Planet Waves, Graphtech, and Eleca Intl’. As a multi-instrumentalist, Lance plays drums, piano, bass, and guitar and performs regularly with jazz, rock, and country bands. Lance also performs as a solo act featuring guitar instrumentals of various genres, along with a wide variety of vocal music styles.

Are you a member of SIGSCV or are you a friend or community member that might be interested in helping us out on the day of the event? Volunteering at the event can be as easy as helping to setup, greet our patrons at the door at one of our venues for a 1 hour shift or more, or helping us break-down / clean-up at the end of the day. We need all kinds of help, so please contact our Logistics Chairperson, Luana Minor. She will be happy to explain details and get your name added to our volunteer list.
