bradywhiteHart High quarterback Brady White is one of 16 high school seniors nominated by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee for the 2015 U.S. Army Player of the Year Award, considered high school football’s highest honor.

The U.S. Army Player of the Year award is given to the nation’s most outstanding senior high school football player. The six finalists for the award will be announced on December 2, 2014.

White and fellow Indian wide receiver Trent Irwin will be playing the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 3.

The U.S. Army Player of the Year will be crowned during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Awards Show on Jan. 3, 2015, in San Antonio, where the winner will be presented with the Ken Hall Trophy, modeled after high school football legend Ken “Sugar Land Express” Hall.

Former U.S. Army Player of the Year winners include Kevin Jones (2001), Lorenzo Booker (2002), Chris Leak (2003), Ryan Perrilloux (2005), Mitch Mustain (2006), Jimmy Clausen (2007), Terrelle Pryor (2008), Bryce Brown (2009), Dillon Baxter (2010), Demetrius Hart (2011), Dorial Green-Beckham (2012), Max Browne (2013) and Elijah Hood (2014).

The game will be televised live on NBC at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas and will feature 90 of the nation’s top high school football players.
