1869 - Sanford Lyon, Henry Wiley and William Jenkins begin drilling the first oil well in Pico Canyon [story]
spring pole

tiltedkilt[KHTS] – Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery employees and officials from the corporate office have confirmed the Valencia restaurant is closed, officials said Monday.

A Westfield Valencia Town Center official said the location was leased through CBRE.

Numerous sources have reported that Tilted Kilt, located on Town Centre Drive, is closing and that a new restaurant will replace it.

One employee posted to Facebook, “Yesterday was my last day as a kilt girl… That’s right TILTED KILT IS CLOSING after tonight! I’ve gained so much experience from that place and I’m thankful but I’m also happy I’ll never wear that outfit or those hideous shoes again!! It will be renovated into a new BETTER restaurant bar where I’ll still be bartending so make sure you come check it out in about a week or so.”

The restaurant is closed but it is unconfirmed of what will replace it, said a Tilted Kilt Corporate Office official.

Officials from Tilted Kilt Valencia did not immediately respond to a request for a statement.

Maybe it’s time for the property owners/building owners to lower the rents (overhead). So many businesses have closed already in SCV. I agree with the folks that we need a good restaurant like Cheesecake Factory.

  126. Everything that opens in that location is doomed… If Tilted Kilt can’t make, how does anyone think anything else will?!?

  127. Valencia Bus says:

Word on the street is the lease of that particular building is too high for most restaurants to keep up operations.
Good luck with the next business.

  128. People that space is too small for Cheesecake Factory. And the last thing we need is another chain restaurant that doesn’t take reservations.

  129. Wasn’t this place always packed?

  141. Marina Jessica Delgado

  142. It was insulting to the value of my gender. And it mocked my heritage, in one of the worst ways possible. Good riddance. The rest of them, can go too.

  154. Calvin Olbes what a loss

  155. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo……….

  156. That place suck anyways cute girls but they wouldent give that pussy up not like in mexico!!….

  157. Semitrailer says:

Thank God!! That place was so white trash…and a restaurant that still objectifies women as their curb appeal? Didn’t places like that and Hooters go out of style back in the late 80’s? Good riddance! The SCV can do better than that.

  158. I could see this comming years ago .

  159. Matt Redmond says:

It would be nice if they had the right information, they closed to rebrand and will be opening again on Friday

  160. Jamiane Cook says:

That location is cursed. Nothing makes it there.

  161. Dan Lora says:

Who cares? I heard the food and service was nothing to write home about.

  172. Now tilted kilt won’t be trolling the high school’s for “servers”. This is great news.

  173. The girls were nice. Place was fun. The times I was there. On to the next business to fail. For good eats one must drive to LA. Real quality dining!!!! Actually…. Quality everything.

  174. Juan Ortiz let’s buy this place , to keep our girls

  175. All these negative comments are a bunch off losers, just saying it how it is isn’t that right Juan Ortiz

  176. Todd Fox says:

Wasn’t that great of a place.

  177. Never went – guess SCV wasn’t ready for scantily clothed waitresses!

  178. It’s re- opening in a week with a new concept

  179. How about a real Scottish pub! Don’t have one of those

    • Giuly Harris says:

The comments say that it’s going to reopen on Monday with new management, either way if they change it it’s good cause the food isn’t that great, they should put a hooters instead of Portos but location is too small

  180. Giuly Harris says:

    Hooters! Lol BIG WANGS!!!

  181. Derek Sreden says:

That is to bad. I’ve never been there once.

  182. Cheesecake Factory, please!

  183. Can’t wait for our new place to open back up on Friday!! :)

  184. Joseph Schwartz says:

Knew this was coming; when I was speaking with an employee of the former Brookstone location across from it a year ago, she said the Kilt was staying until the lease ran out and other stores would be closing shortly. Looking at that end of Town Center Drive you have to wonder what Westfield has planned for that, except for the Pottery Barn everything else at that end looks like month-to-month small businesses put there just to keep the lights on. Anyone know what’s going into the former Abercrombie & Fitch space, looks like some construction fencing went up recently.

  185. Peter Bishop says:

They need better management. The service was horrendous. If your a hot waitress, you can’t ignore your customers and think that’s ok. You still have to provide good service.

  186. Peter Bishop says:

They need to fire the whole staff and hire real servers and cooks

  187. Kim Forbes says:

Calm down! Cheesecake Factory is opening across the street next to Pottery Barn. You will notice most of that ‘block’ is empty.

  188. The same thing happened to the one in bakersfield and should happen to the Hooters. Service and food sucks there as well. Big tits does not mean good service.

  189. Sharon Aviles yay! Glad that I never went.
