Deputies responded Monday afternoon to a fight at a Newhall restaurant where one man was beaten with a hammer and another fled the scene.

Witnesses reported to KHTS that a fight at the Panda Express on Newhall Ave. resulted in at least one person being “badly beaten with a hammer.”

“While inside the Panda Express on Newhall the two men got into an altercation that resulted in one of them being transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital,” said Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Bringas. “The transported victim was suffering from head trauma.”
