Air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley and the San Gabriel Valley today, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
This afternoon, the AQMD extended Monday’s air quality alert through Wednesday.
Los Angeles County Interim Health Officer Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in the valleys with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Schools with children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity and should stay indoors as much as possible.

But let’s continue to use coal and oil emitted vehicles to help our air quality ? There are sources of renewable energy FYI. Solar, wind turbines, oceans, even the ground emits energy for Pete’s sake. But let’s keep tarnishing our air with diesel fuel, and your CO2 farts. Come on I thought this was Awesometown. Let’s get it together people ?????
Sooner than later your air is going to be looking China’s capitol
That’s why I’m staying indoors today. I can’t breathe this stuff!!
We already have some of the worst air quality in the nation in the SANTA Clarita Valley. We are in a nonatainment area for ozone and fine particulate matter. You can’t see that but now we have smog.
The general plan for the City of Santa Clarita allows the air quality to go to severe.
