Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies report a peaceful resolution to a standoff with a man this morning.
“We had a peaceful resolution to the standoff in Stevenson Ranch,” according to the station. “After an hour talking to our crisis negotiations team the suspect finally surrendered to our Special Enforcement Team.”

A standoff between a man and deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at Valencia Marketplace this morning may come to a conclusion soon, according to officials.
The crisis negotiation team called in to persuade the suspect to surrender has withdrawn, said Lt. Chuck Becerra of the SCV Sheriff’s Station at 10:12 a.m.
“One way or the other, it should resolve soon,” he said.
Deputies received a call about a dispute between a man and a woman inside the old Sports Chalet store about 4:30 a.m.
