09/21/16

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 25800 block of Webster Place

Two male adults attacked another male adult, hitting him, choking him, and cutting him with a broken beer bottle. The victim was at the location attempting to visit his ex-girlfriend. Witnesses at the location were uncooperative and would not help identify the suspects.

09/22/16

Burglary (Vehicle) – 25300 block The Old Road

Person(s) unknown pried open the rear window of the victim’s 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe and stole her third row removable seat.

09/25/16

Burglary (Vehicle) – 25600 block Pico Canyon Road

Person(s) unknown smashed the rear passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse containing her cell phone, driver’s license, and $120.00 in U.S. currency. Total loss, including damages was $1,200.00.

Tip of the Week: Surviving the Heat Wave

Summer just doesn’t seem to want to let go of Santa Clarita this year, and we are expecting another week of high temperatures. As such, it is important to take care of ourselves, our kids, and our pets. Remember to drink water and stay hydrated when outside in the heat, and keep plenty of cool water on hand. Assure your pets have adequate water, and bring them indoors regularly to allow them to cool off. Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle on a hot day. Even with the windows down, the inside temperature of a vehicle is usually 20-30 degrees hotter than the outside temperature.
