On Sunday, January 25, 2015, at approximately 7:20 pm, a fight involving several people took place on the grounds of the New Horizons condo complex located in the 27600 block of Susan Beth Way in the Saugus area of Santa Clarita.

During the course of the altercation, a 15-year-old male juvenile was stabbed in the abdomen.  He was transported to a local area hospital and survived the incident.  This incident appears to have started on social media, which later led to the parties meeting at the condo complex where a fight ensued.

Jennifer Ortega ppl getten stabbed in Valencia

  2. Oh My!! I read this was #4 safest city in the Country but lately a lot has been going on :(

  3. Jailene Jackson it hasn’t been the safest city in top 10 for over 10 years now .. The city hides a lot of the criminal activity.. Try spending a night in canyon country and newhall..

  4. It still is top 5. I live where it happened and we helped the kid. It wad a stupid altercation over facebook. He is 15. This shows you how little parents care their children. He was fully tatted and in a gang. I mean really?? Its alot worse in other areas we are still lucky we can walk down the street. Everything that has been happening is family related or gang related.

    • Shauna we have helicopters over our house every night almost and we live in the American beauty houses that back up to the wash

    • Shauna Leonhardt, you’re absolutely correct! This was not a family who was moving on up. This kid’s facebook page was full of junk that showed his only goal in life was to be a thug/idiot. He posted the photo and was proud of it! And what is he going to be in 3 years when he’s an adult? Is he going to learn from this and turn his life around? Probably not.

    • Lol what facebook page were you looking at??? I know him personally and im on his friends list…so I guess pictures of skateboarding is a goal of being a thug/idiot??? He posted the picture for me because Iwas worried about him. So i dont know where you get he was proud!!

  5. SCV allowed all the high density housing and Voila!!

    • SCV allowed? Do get your facts straight! To become a city, within the state of CA, you MUST provide a certain amount of low income housing. The number is based off the cities population. As this city grows and grows, they are forced to include more low income housing. Therefore, the only person/people to blame is Newhall Land and Farm and the other large corps that are constantly adding cookie cutter houses and bringing more and more people to this community.

    • Don’t get mad at me. I understand how,it works, that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

  6. just curious – where does this 3rd safest or 4th safest or 5th safest nonsense come from? (Sure, we’ve seen people twist FBI crime stats all out of proportion over the years, but their weird conclusions never had any basis in fact)

  7. The bigger this valley gets the more problems there is going to be, you have to take the bad with the good!

  8. This is what Acton has to offer. Peace

  9. Lol.. Great Photography work. Was this picture really needed?!?!

I live in Seattle and was thinking of moving there because it’s known to be pretty safe out there. I know crime is everywhere, you really can’t run from it. By far Valencia is a much better city then Lancaster and Palmdale
