I’ve lived in Santa Clarita since 1966. Same house now just below the Target sign, on whispering leaves drive. We had hills and meadows to enjoy looking at. Then the frwy came. With the Hugh bank and 30 ft more of stores, we now hear the frwy 24/7 very loud as the traffic backs up during rush hour. The exhaust is coating our entire yard and probably our lungs. We’re on water restrictions and you want us to be happy with this new plan. More traffic, more empty stores, crowded schools, and water shortages. You gotta be kidding!!
Oh I agree with you more traffic and crowding I came from SFV we like the open spaces of SCV. I would rather that the existing communities be upgraded, and limits on newer constructions. But rural these days isn’t rural of the old days Unfortunately. I am reminded of a friend when they wanted a property that was going to stay open for their mini ranch type lifestyle. Well 10-15 years later they ended selling because the community they thought would stay rural didn’t. Good lesson when planing to buy we should make our choice where we’re sure there won’t be budding communities built around us. Sad but true.

No wonder we are being asked to conserve water :-/
And it’s unaffordable for the average person.
No water to support the development, no highway infrastructure to support the traffic, expectation is everyone will use public transportation. Well thought out plan.
Why can’t they fill up the chunk of empty stores at the golden valley shopping center first before they build this?
well because the rent is too high at golden valley and lets build so it can be empty later on too…nothing is well thought out
Laura Fava Scott I’m in
Found the proposed spot. It’s south of the 14, near Sand Canyon Rd.
