Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested two women on Carl Boyer Drive Monday, one for outstanding arrest warrants and the other for possession of methamphetamine, according to officials.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
Today around noon, two deputies were patrolling a shopping center parking lot located on the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive in Canyon Country when they noticed a car parked in a different area than most.
(The) engine was running — maybe everything was fine — but one of the deputies wanted to be courteous and make contact with the occupants, making sure everything was alright.
As he walked up to the car, he saw there were two female adults inside. As he was politely inquiring if everything was good, he peered inside the vehicle and spotted a meth pipe on the floorboard.
To make a long story short, the 35-year-old female in the passenger seat just happened to have two outstanding warrants and one of the warrants was in the amount of $50,000 for petty theft.
The 26-year-old female driver was in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine.
Both were arrested and transported in one of the vehicles pictured above to the SCV Sheriff’s Station, where they were booked.
Please know that we are looking — constantly looking for any illegal activity in the SCV. We want this area safe as much as you do.

Good. If they are using drugs they need jail to get off. If dealing they need to be away for a long time or give big time info on who they are selling for. I had to fight the court to order rehab for my son instead of let him go. He is still on my insurance and is still struggling but continues in rehab and sober living. He is willing to fight for a sober life.
SCV should hold an open house or a 24 hour hotline where our locals with no insurance or who don’t know how to access rehab can call and be helped ASAP into a detox and sober living if they are willing. This is where money needs to be spent. We won’t have to spend so much on homeless shelter then. Don’t just give them a phone number. Do what the rehabs do. Pick them up and take them to a detox right away. They are fragile and can’t even think straight. Don’t make them try to navigate the system will barely able to call for help.
The local rehab ACTION is good but if it is in your insurance “network” they will only keep your kid for a week or so. After that it is out patient only.
If you send them to the rehabs out of network they get reimbursed more money so will keep them much longer. Tarzana (Peace by Piece treatment center) or tons of them in Orange County area, Lotus is one, or Coastline in Huntington Beach, and tons others they will keep your child for months in sober living helping them re-enter work force and learn how to live sober. Usually no extra cost above what insurance reimburses. They take out patient money but keep them inpatient. Very nice. Have therapy 3 hours a day, Doctors and mental health professionals to help as well as medication if needed. Don’t give up hope.
Don’t be surprised if your child needs to go to rehab many times before it sticks. Many people struggle to quit smoking or lose weight. Quitting Drugs is really hard. Everyday is a fresh start if they are willing to keep working at it. A long process, often takes years.
