Why would you call it a Trump administration shut down when it was the democrats deciding vote that forced the shut down? How about report news not an agenda?
You’re asking a question about her press release; it might be quicker to contact her office directly
If you are a constituent you should attend the Town Hall and ask her yourself.
For one, WHY do you blame Trump, for what YOUR party has done?? We desperately NEED the WALL!! Your party wants to spend OUR tax payers money on ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS rather than building our Country! You all need to get your priorities straight! You are elected BY the People AND FOR the People, so start acting like it, is what the people would like to see!! STOP BEING OBSTRUCTIONIST AND COME TO THE TABLE TO WORK TOGETHER!! This isn’t POLITICAL, it’s what We The People elected You all to do!
First of all, Trump made a statement saying he would gladly shut down the government if he didn’t get the American tax payer to pay for his wall, so democrats are not blaming him. He takes full credit. Second, you are a fool if you believe anything he says, as he has way over 6,000 documented lies in the last 2 years. Just because he claims that a big wall will make citizens safer it does not make it so. He is just pouting about a campaign promise that he made to you when he stoked xenophobia & said he’d have Mexico pay for the wall. If he could pull that off we wouldn’t have this issue, but now it’s effecting 800,000 federal workers & the communities that depend on their income. Democrats stated that they are willing to fund border security utilizing 21st century technology, but the wall thing is just a waste of time & money and will not be funded.
Hey. Why not a wall across the Canadian border? And wait! We should have walls from Maine to the Florida Keyes and across the western coast if Alaska andromeda’s Washington state to California. All those borders are vulnerable and will be more vulnerable once the hordes are blocked from trekking across places like the national butterfly reserve in mission Texas by a wall that destroys unique and precious American habitat forever while destroying the economy of the Texas town that hosts this treasure. If I was blocked I’d go all Syrian and take a boat so, seriously, take money from veterans hospitals and go for it. We already have the biggest deficit ever thanks to our brilliant leader who knowstax breaks for billionaires will trickle down to the rest of us too stupid to get it types…some day. Hasn’t happened yet so spending billions on all those walks might just prove some kind of point. Oh. By the way the senate republicans voted to fund the government & then decided to change course & demand a wall. Then pence was sent to negotiate & offered half of what trump is asking and trump said nope he wants 5.6mil even though he hasn’t spent what he has. Oh my. If you know the facts this is crazy behav. 25TH amendment stuff.
If the democrat’s continue to play politics, more of our citizens are at risk! Finish the WALL for national security sake!
The wall is a complete waste of money. McConnell is really to blame for not having a Senate vote. Senate should vote, and then it falls all on Trump. Stay strong Katie! No stupid wall!! Democrats should come down hard on McConnell for not holding a vote.
What time is this town hall? I see the address but need the time. My husband Jack Hamilton and I would like to attend.
Trump shut down the govt., and the cowardly sycophants in the GOP refuse to denounce or demand accountability from their ‘leader.’ This government shut down is the sole responsibility of the Trump administration, the president has demanded 5.5 billion to build a wall that he promised Mexico would pay for. Trump now wants the American tax payers to fund this asinine and ill-conceived wall. The president has backed himself into a corner, the Dems and especially Pelosi/Schumer played him masterfully; Trump the master negotiator is a lying, unethical, blowhard. Impeachment can’t come fast enough.
If the Democrats would put the interests of THIS country first and provide for a needed wall and border security THEIR shutdown would be ended !!!
