Three juveniles suspected of tagging Sierra Vista Junior High school in Canyon Country last month have been detained and face felony vandalism charges, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday afternoon.
Here’s more of the story from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s social media:
“When school staff returned to the campus of Sierra Vista Junior High school on Tuesday morning, May 22 they discovered extensive graffiti throughout the school grounds on exterior building walls, poles, sidewalks, and even electrical boxes.
“Damage was estimated to be over $3,000.
“An investigation into the incident led COBRA detectives to the identification of three minors.
“Two male juveniles, both 14 years old, were located and detained on Thursday, June 6, and the third subject, a male juvenile age 14, was detained on Monday, June 10.
“All three teens admitted their involvement in the graffiti incident and are facing felony vandalism charges.
“After being detained, the juveniles were released to their parents, and are scheduled for a court appearance later this summer.”
