On Saturday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m., the community is invited to meet author and five-time Emmy-award winning former cameraman for Huell Howser’s “California Gold,” Luis Fuerte.
The free author event will take place at the Valencia Library and is presented by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library. No reservations are required to attend. The Valencia Library is located at 23743 Valencia Boulevard.
Residents attending the author event will get a chance to hear Luis Fuerte discuss his novel, “Louie, Take a Look at This! My Time with Huell Howser,” which shares stories of his adventures exploring California, making great television and showcasing Howser’s infectious love for the Golden State.
Light refreshments will be served and copies of the “Louie, Take a Look at This! My Time with Huell Howser” book will be available for purchase and signing. Seating is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.
The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library support the library through advocacy, volunteer service, supplemental funding and fostering a close relationship between the library and the community. All proceeds from three bookstores and fundraising efforts support programming for the Santa Clarita Public Library.
