The 25th annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival will feature the Santa Clarita Valley’s own Messick Family Singers in four performances on the Heritage Junction Stage at Hart Park in Old Town Newhall on Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22.
The Messick Family’s sets will be free and open to the public as part of the Cowboy Festival’s no-charge general admission policy.
The group features the close harmonies of Wayne and Gail Messick, Virginia (Messick) Shemanski, Steve Messick, Stacey (Messick) Roueche, and Scott Messick, and their musical specialty is vintage western and country, performed unplugged.
The Messick Family celebrates four generations of SCV living with their music. As a family, they share more than 40 years of making music, raising horses and grazing cattle in the hills surrounding the valley.
Set times will be 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, and 12:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.
William S. Hart Regional Park is located at 24151 Newhall Avenue, Newhall 91321.
This year marks the 25th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, presented by Heritage Sierra Medical Group, which draws thousands of visitors from across the country to Old Town Newhall for a weekend of entertainment, mouthwatering food and endless family fun.
A slew of rockin’ western, Americana, folk and country musical acts and special tours still have tickets available at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival.
Repertory East Playhouse has released its performances lineup for the 2016 Cowboy Festival this April.
