The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in partnership with Ralph’s Pharmacy will participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community members are urged to drop off unwanted medications* at the Sheriff’s Station, located at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia 91355, during the take-back event.
This free service allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications and also addresses a vital public safety and public health issue.
Bringing expired or unwanted prescription drugs to the collection site eliminates the potential for misuse, abuse or accidental poisoning.
Improper disposal of medications, such as flushing them down a toilet or throwing them in the trash, can be hazardous to public safety, public health and the environment.
*Please note, we cannot accept liquids at this take-back event.
