Sam Farmer, NFL writer for the LA Times, will discuss the return of NFL football to LA, the new Rams Stadium, the NFL season, Fantasy Football, division winner picks and Super Bowl predictions at Congregation Beth Shalom on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 11:00 a.m. The event is free to the congregation and the public. Farmer, California Sportswriter of the Year and the Associated Press National Beat Writer of the year is in his 20th season covering the NFL. He’s a 1988 graduate of Occidental College, began his career at small papers in the Pacific Northwest before moving onto the San Jose Mercury News, where he was an Oakland Raiders beat writer for five seasons. At various times, he has also been a beat writer covering the NBA, PGA Tour, and college football and basketball.
