
Pastor John Richard, new Regional Commissioner of AYSO 1441
The Board of Directors of the Castaic branch of the American Youth Soccer Organization, or AYSO, has announced the selection of John Richard to lead the organization as Regional Commissioner. Mr. Richard succeeds Bryan Cunningham who led the program from 2014 – 2016.
John Richard serves as Pastor of Living Hope SCV Valley. He and his wife Jaime are the proud parents of seven children, and are excited for the opportunity to further serve the youth of their community.
AYSO 1441 is a non-profit organization with local membership exceeding 600 participants. Its stated vision is to provide a world class soccer program that enriches the lives of our Santa Clarita children. Region 1441 accomplishes this by developing and delivering, a youth soccer program which promotes a fun, family environment, based on AYSO’s Six Philosophies of, Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.
AYSO 1441 offers a program suitable for all levels of play. The Core Program is made available for all kids between the ages of 4 and 18. For players between the ages of 8 and 13 looking for a higher level of competiveness, AYSO 1441 offers an EXTRA Program, with teams competing against inter-Sectional AYSO EXTRA teams from Southern California.
The Region will also offer a club soccer program for accomplished players wishing to play within the Coast Soccer League in 2016.
