Valencia, Zone 5
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information
Snapshot for 03/03/2014 through 03/09/2014
Zone 5-Valencia had twelve Part-1 Crimes reported during the past week. The criminal incidents included a residential burglary, commercial burglary, and numerous shoplifting from various businesses.
A residential burglary occurred on 22800 block of Frisca Drive between 6:00 am and 7:30 am. The victim left his bicycle unattended on the front porch. No witnesses or suspects were located.
A commercial burglary occurred on the 25200 block of Anza Drive between the hours of 9:00 pm and 8:30 am. The victim reported that two high end bicycles, left unattended, had been stolen from inside the business. No suspects were located and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Please use caution and be cognizant of your surroundings when securing your bicycles. Keep the serial number of your bicycle on file in the event that it is stolen to aid in its recovery. Continue to keep vehicle burglaries and thefts down. Do not leave items visible in your vehicle! Take all personal belongings with you when you exit your vehicle or secure items in locked trunks. Do not leave items underneath vehicle seats or cover them with clothing apparel or blankets. Thieves know this technique.
Remember to roll up all windows and lock doors before walking away from your vehicle. Keep theft down. Take careful steps to not become a victim. Be mindful of your surroundings. Do not leave personal items unattended in public areas, such as restaurants, shopping carts or counter tops of businesses. If you see any suspicious activity, please call the Sheriff’s Station immediately at 661-255-1121.
There were multiple arrests made this past week by proactive Santa Clarita Deputies assigned to the Valencia area. Arrests included, possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of alcohol, warrants and numerous shoplifting from local businesses.
