Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Canyon Country East:
(1) Commercial Burglaries, (1) Residential Burglary, (3) Grand Theft Auto.
There were five part one crimes reported in Zone 8 in the last week. A garage burglary was reported near the 17000 block of Danielson Street. In this incident the suspect(s) entered the victim’s garage and stole a red and black “Schwinn” bicycle. Entry into the garage is unknown due to there being no evidence of forced entry.
Three vehicles were stolen in Zone 8 last week. A 1996 Ford Windstar was stolen from the 14 freeway and Placerita Canyon Road. A Sunseeker RV was stolen from the 15700 block of Iron Canyon Road. There was a 1996 Acura Integra stolen from the 27000 block of Lost Springs Road.
As part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station continued outreach efforts aimed at keeping the public informed about crime and crime rates in our community, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station wants to raise awareness about a number of scams that are becoming more prevalent in the Santa Clarita Valley.
We always encourage residents to immediately report criminal or suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
