Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

A theft from a vehicle was reported from 32000 block of Greenhill Drive.  The victim reported two bank deposit envelopes containing approximately $1,400 in cash, an Apple I-phone 5, and a Visio lap top taken from his unlocked vehicle.

An attempt theft from a vehicle was reported from the 28000 block of Avion Circle.  A resident saw an unknown male in his neighbor’s vehicle and called 911.  Prior to deputy arrival the suspect left in a white pickup truck.  The informant and neighbor both reported their vehicles had been rummaged through but nothing was missing.

A vehicle burglary was reported from the 31000 block of The Old Road.  The victim reported 2 flat screen TV’s, an electric drill, vehicle plates and registration taken.  The suspects gained entry by prying open the side door.

Please remember to close and lock your doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle.  Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.  If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
