Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
There were three Part 1 Crimes in Zone 2. Two residential burglaries were reported this last week in Val Verde. A house on Delwood Street had jewelry stolen: entry was made through a bedroom window. A house off of Concorse Drive had an attached garage broken into. The homeowner scared off the suspect who left behind two Daisy BB-guns he was trying to steal.
There was one reported case of sexual assault in Castaic. An adult male from Canyon Country sexually assaulted a juvenile female in Castaic. This is an ongoing investigation that will be handled by the department’s Special Victim’s Bureau.
Please remember to close your garage doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding Zone 2 (Castaic or Val Verde), please feel free to email or call me directly.

Did this sexual assault take place at a residence? Was it a relative?
Since I have grandkids who live in Castaic, it sure would be nice to know exactly where this happened, wouldn’t it??? Another great story by the Signal.
Sorry…not the Signal. SCV News…same thing. Bad reporting.
