Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information
Snapshot for 03/03/2014 to 03/09/2014
Last week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(1) Residential Burglary, (2) Vehicle Burglary, (3) Shopliftings
* A residential burglary occurred near the 17800 block of Beneda Lane. The suspect entered the victims apartment and stole a backpack containing miscellaneous items from within the victims bedroom. The victims stated his residence was locked however there was no evidence of forced entry into the location. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
* A vehicle burglary occurred near the intersection of Rainbow Glen Drive and Greenjay Place. The suspect smashed the victims front passenger window and rifled through the vehicle. The victims stated nothing was taken. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
* A vehicle burglary occurred near the 19600 block of Green Mountain Drive. The suspect smashed the front passenger window and stole a laptop carrying bag containing the victims laptop. The victim stated nothing else was taken from within his vehicle. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
* A shoplifting occurred at “Costco” on Via Princessa. The suspect entered the location and began concealing miscellaneous food items. The suspect attempted to walk out of the store without paying and was subsequently caught by loss prevention. The suspect was arrested by Deputy Personnel. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
* Two separate incidents of shoplifting occurred at “Walmart” on Carl Boyer Drive. In both incidents, the suspects involved attempted to conceal store items and leave the location without paying for the items. The suspects involved in both incidents were arrested by Deputy Personnel. Both incidents are currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
